The last practice is arguably the most straightforward practice to improve upon. There are not many species on this planet that are not governed by sleep, and humans are no different. We rely on sleep to organise the day’s memories and allow the brain to heal, but for some reason, sleep has become a chore rather than a gateway to both physical and mental wellbeing.
We have to break the stigma our society has around sleep by choosing to sleep longer. When we sleep longer, our bodies spend more time healing, and we can be more present each day.
Could you create a lifestyle that does not require an alarm clock to get you up? Better yet, could you use that alarm to let you know when it is time to go to bed, not to wake up? Happy sleeping.
